A deadly crash occurred in Woodland, California, on Saturday, April 8, involving a 13-year-old driver in a stolen vehicle who was leading police on a chase.
The Woodland Police Department reported that an officer noticed the car being driven erratically. When the officer attempted to pull it over, the car sped away, resulting in a pursuit.
The car then crashed into two other vehicles, causing them to catch fire. Four ambulances were called to the scene, and one person, unfortunately, passed away, with nearly a dozen more injured.
The severity of the injuries is still being assessed. Police later identified the driver as a 13-year-old boy in a stolen car. An investigation is currently underway by the California Highway Patrol to determine the cause of the crash.
