13th Body Found in Small Town Magnifies Fears of Serial Killer

The recent discovery of 21-year-old Adriana Suazo’s body in a secluded area in Milton, Massachusetts, has heightened existing anxieties throughout New England regarding a series of unexplained deaths in the region. Suazo, a Boston resident, was found by a passerby on Sunday, June 1, around 11:45 a.m. in Milton, a town located roughly 8 miles south of the state capital. The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office reported that there were no clear signs of trauma on Suazo’s body, and the cause of death is currently under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

This incident marks the latest in a series of disturbing cases that have unfolded since March 2025. In the past few months, at least 13 bodies have been discovered across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. Many of these bodies were found in remote or wooded areas, and the circumstances surrounding these deaths have varied widely, from dismemberments to unattended deaths.

The high number of cases and their temporal proximity have sparked public speculation about the potential involvement of a serial offender. However, local law enforcement agencies and district attorneys, who are investigating each case individually, have dismissed this theory due to the lack of forensic links between the cases.

Among the victims was 35-year-old Paige Fannon, whose body was found in the Norwalk River in Connecticut on March 6, the same day a human skull was discovered near Route 3 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Later in March, the dismembered remains of 58-year-old Suzanne Wormser were found in a suitcase in Groton, Connecticut. Wormser’s roommate was arrested in connection with her death but died shortly after in custody.

The series of unexplained deaths continued into April and May, with bodies discovered in various locations across the region, including New Haven, Foster, Killingly, Pawtucket, Rocky Hill, Taunton, Springfield, and Edgewood Park.

In a statement, Suazo’s sister, Melanie Pizarro, expressed her family’s desire for answers and closure. She stated that while they are not accusing anyone, the circumstances surrounding Suazo’s death are suspicious, and they believe she was with someone either at the time of her death or shortly before.

A vigil was held near the location where Suazo’s body was discovered, with family and friends gathering to remember her and honor her life.
