2 Adults and 3 Children Found Dead in Home

Honolulu, Hawaii – Police are currently investigating a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including three children, in what appears to be a murder-suicide. The bodies were discovered on Sunday morning, leaving the community in shock.

Authorities responded to an anonymous call at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sunday leading an officer to visit the scene. However, due to a lack of information, they did not initially enter the dwelling. It wasn’t until a second call reporting a domestic dispute that officers finally entered the home, where they made the grim discovery.

According to Lieutenant Deena Thoemme of the Honolulu Police Department, evidence suggests that an adult male used a recovered knife to fatally attack the female victim and the three children. The motive behind the tragedy is still under investigation, with police conducting interviews and reviewing security camera footage.

The devastating incident has left the community reeling, prompting Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi to express his heartfelt condolences. He described the incident as an “inexplicable tragedy” that has deeply shaken the neighborhood.

Authorities have yet to disclose the names of the victims or the husband involved. However, neighbors have come forward, indicating that one of the children attended a nearby elementary school, while the father was a local chiropractor. The police are awaiting the medical examiner’s report before releasing any further information.

This incident marks the deadliest mass murder in Honolulu since the Xerox murders in 1999, during which seven people were shot dead in a mass shooting.
