An Ohio mother has recently come forward with a harrowing account of her 5-year-old daughter’s assault and sexual violation, allegedly perpetrated by a group of boys all under the age of 10. Antavia Kennibrew took to social media to share the distressing incident that took place on September 13. The local law enforcement agency is currently looking into the matter.
Kennibrew expressed her shock and disbelief at the condition of her daughter following the assault. She described her child as being unrecognizable and deeply traumatized. The Cleveland Division of Police confirmed in a statement on October 7 that its Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit is actively probing the incident. They have identified several children under the age of 10 as potential suspects. However, local officials have yet to comment on whether charges will be filed.
Kennibrew expressed her dissatisfaction with the authorities, accusing them of failing her daughter. She stated that she was informed that two of the children involved would not face charges due to their young age, despite their alleged participation in the horrific attack. Kennibrew is of the opinion that both the children and their parents should be held accountable.
According to Kennibrew, the incident took place when she left her daughter at a relative’s home in Cleveland. The young girl reportedly left the house unnoticed and was allegedly approached by the older children, who seemed friendly at first. Kennibrew alleges that the boys lured her daughter to a secluded field, where they assaulted her until she lost consciousness, sexually violated her, and left her alone.
The children allegedly returned to their neighborhood and resumed their play as if nothing had transpired. When Kennibrew’s relative noticed the child was missing, she inquired with the boys about her whereabouts. They denied having seen the girl and continued with their play. The authorities were eventually alerted, and the children, accompanied by one of their parents, guided them to the location of Kennibrew’s daughter.
Kennibrew recounted the horrifying scene she encountered when she arrived to find emergency medical services attending to her daughter. The child was covered in bruises and blood, and her hair had been torn from her scalp. The mother shared images of her daughter’s injuries on social media, illustrating the extent of the physical and psychological trauma the child had endured.
Kennibrew is now advocating for justice for her daughter, urging the police to file charges related to the incident. The young girl is currently undergoing therapy to help her deal with the traumatic experience.
