Harris County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to the scene shortly after 9 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 43-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy, both suffering from gunshot wounds. A man, believed to be the shooter, was airlifted to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat, as all evidence points to the incident being isolated to the apartment.
