80-Year-Old Woman Slaps Driver After Parking Lot Incident at Walmart

An 80-year-old woman from Florida was recently apprehended by local law enforcement following an altercation in a Walmart parking lot. The woman, identified as Linda Montan Frenier, allegedly slapped another driver during a dispute. According to court records from Orange County, Frenier is facing charges of robbery via sudden snatching, a felony, and battery, a misdemeanor.

The incident took place on June 30, in the parking lot of a Walmart located on South Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka, a town within the larger Orlando metropolitan area. Law enforcement was called to the scene in response to a reported battery.

Upon arrival, the responding officer met with the alleged victim, who was waiting by her vehicle. The woman claimed that she had been driving through the parking lot and had stopped behind Frenier’s vehicle to check her phone’s GPS. Frenier, attempting to reverse out of her parking spot, reportedly hit the passenger-side door of the victim’s car.

The victim alleged that Frenier did not apologize for the collision. Instead, she reportedly blamed the victim, exited her vehicle, and began to verbally abuse the victim and her brother. When the victim asked Frenier to calm down and provide her insurance information, Frenier allegedly became more agitated.

According to the officer’s report, Frenier then approached the victim, made a threatening gesture, and slapped her on the left side of her face without consent. Following the alleged assault, Frenier is said to have snatched the victim’s phone from her hand and thrown it across the street, temporarily depriving the victim of its use. The victim expressed a desire to press charges.

A third party, who witnessed the incident from a nearby Steak ‘n Shake, corroborated the victim’s account. The witness claimed to have seen Frenier slap the victim, snatch her phone, and throw it across the street.

When questioned by the officer, Frenier reportedly confessed to her actions after being read her rights. She admitted to slapping the victim, taking her phone, and throwing it, stating that the victim had upset her and was getting in her face.
