T-Powers confirmed the 25-year-old performer’s death while saying it was reviewing information circulating about events before she died.
TOKYO — The agency representing adult film performer Hana Kuraki confirmed her death Monday, two days after reports began circulating that the 25-year-old had been found dead in a Tokyo apartment. T-Powers did not announce a cause or manner of death.
The statement provided formal confirmation from Kuraki’s management agency after her death had spread widely across Japanese social media and overseas news sites. T-Powers said it was aware of information being posted online about the circumstances leading up to her death and events involving a specific person. The agency said it was taking what had become known seriously, but its statement did not identify anyone, specify what conduct had been established or connect any person to the cause of Kuraki’s death.
Reports of Kuraki’s death began circulating Sept. 12. Sakito, a figure in Tokyo’s host-club industry, said publicly that one of Kuraki’s friends contacted him after finding her at an apartment. He said he went to the location and later dealt with police officers and investigators who arrived there. His account also sought to correct claims that he had been the first person to find Kuraki.
Japanese and international reports have said the apartment was in Tokyo’s Kabukicho entertainment district. Some reports have described Kuraki’s death as an apparent or suspected suicide. However, no public police finding confirming suicide or another cause of death was identified in the sources reviewed through Sept. 15. T-Powers also did not give a cause in its announcement. Her work expanded beyond adult video. Nikkan Sports reported that Kuraki appeared in an episode of the Channel NECO television series “Momoiro Tanbo” in 2025. Her agency continued to list appearances and promotional work after her debut, reflecting a public career that included events as well as filmed performances.
Attention surrounding Kuraki’s death has been intensified by claims about her private relationships and events before she died. Some online posts and subsequent news reports have made serious allegations involving another person.
