Body Found Near Google Data Center Site

An investigation has been launched in Crittenden County after city workers discovered a body in a field early Monday morning. The workers, who were mowing the lawn along Waverly Road, came across the disturbing scene shortly after 7 a.m. The body was identified as a 39-year-old male, found near the construction site of the upcoming Google data center. The man’s identity and the cause of his death have not yet been released by the authorities.

The shocking discovery left those who came across the scene in a state of disbelief. Local residents, including Glenn Kelleher, were taken aback by the sudden presence of law enforcement and crime scene investigation units. Kelleher, who was on his way to drop his grandchildren at school, noticed the authorities covering the body with a white sheet.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the man wandering around the area the previous Saturday. However, there were no immediate signs of any criminal activity. The man was found with his hands tied above his waist, but there were no visible signs of physical harm or trauma on his body.

The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there were no indications of foul play on the body, leaving many questions unanswered. Officials are currently waiting for the report from the Arkansas State Crime Lab to shed light on the cause of death.

The unsettling discovery has left the local community in shock, as what started as a routine workday turned into a tragic scene. The city workers who found the body were visibly shaken by the incident.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information related to the case.
