Couple’s Deadly Fight Unfolds as 11-Year-Old Son Plays Video Games in Another Room

A devastating event occurred last week in a residence in Washington State, where a husband and wife were involved in a fatal dispute that led to their demise. The couple’s 11-year-old son, who was in a separate room engrossed in a video game with earbuds in, was oblivious to the horrifying incident taking place nearby. The child stumbled upon the horrific aftermath of the altercation on Halloween night.

The deceased couple has been identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39. Their bodies were discovered in their home in Longview, a city situated on the Washington side of the Columbia River, roughly 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon. The authorities are still trying to ascertain who instigated the fatal encounter.

The police reported that Alvarado Saenz suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest, leading to his death. Robles Ochoa was found with both stab wounds and gunshot injuries, as per the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office. The young boy, after finding his parents’ lifeless bodies on the kitchen floor, promptly dialed 911.

Emergency medical technicians were dispatched to the scene but were unable to resuscitate the couple. The boy, who was the only other person in the house at the time of the incident, was unscathed.

During their investigation, detectives discovered that Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa were having relationship issues and had intended to part ways. A knife and a firearm, which were used in the crime, were retrieved from the scene.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that the firearm used in the incident had been pilfered from Alvarado Saenz’s place of work. The theft was not detected until after the tragic event had occurred.
