A 20-year-old Kentucky man, Parker Kramer, is facing felony rape charges after allegedly engaging in sexual activities with a 13-year-old girl. Kramer was arrested following an incident at a Florence residence where he was reportedly found in the girl’s bedroom by her father. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reported that they responded to a call about shots fired in the area after midnight on Monday.
The call was made by the girl’s father, who had reportedly discovered an adult man, later identified as Kramer, naked on his daughter’s bedroom floor. The father informed Kramer that he was contacting the police and left the room to retrieve his handgun. Kramer then fled the scene on foot, prompting the father to fire three shots into the ground near the front porch of the house.
Upon arrival, police found Kramer’s unoccupied vehicle near the scene. The car’s registration led them to identify Kramer as the owner. The father was able to confirm Kramer’s identity from his driver’s license photo.
As the search for Kramer intensified, additional officers from the Florence Police Department were called in, and an aerial drone was deployed to assist. Kramer was located by the drone and apprehended at 2:34 a.m., as per the sheriff’s office.
During a subsequent interview with a detective, Kramer allegedly confessed to driving from Louisville to Florence with the intention of meeting the girl for sex. Initially, Kramer was charged with burglary, but the charges were later upgraded to include two counts of rape and one count of sodomy. Kramer is currently being held at the Boone County Jail on a $250,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5.
