Former Miss Universe Contestant Dies in Freak Incident with an Elk

Kseniya Alexandrova, a former contestant in the Miss Universe pageant and Vice-Miss Russia 2017, tragically passed away following a freak accident earlier this week. The 30-year-old model suffered critical injuries when an elk unexpectedly leaped onto the road and crashed through the windshield of her Porsche in Tver Oblast, Russia, on July 5.

Alexandrova was seated in the passenger side of the Porsche Panamera, with her husband driving, when the large animal collided with their vehicle. Her husband survived the incident, but Alexandrova sustained severe brain injuries that resulted in a coma.

The accident happened in an instant, leaving no opportunity for the couple to react, as per her husband’s account to Russian media. He detailed the terrifying scene, explaining that the elk’s impact was directly on Alexandrova’s head, rendering her unconscious and critically injured.

The force of the impact was so intense that it shattered the front of Alexandrova’s skull, with the elk’s legs penetrating the windshield of the sports car. The aftermath was a horrific sight, with the interior of the car covered in blood.

After being in a deep coma for over a month, Alexandrova succumbed to her injuries on August 15, as confirmed by her modeling agency. The heartbreaking incident occurred just four months after the couple’s wedding, a fact revealed by Alexandrova’s widely-followed Instagram account.

Alexandrova was recognized for her participation in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, which took place in Las Vegas. Even though she did not make it to the Top 16 semifinalists, she left a lasting impression with her elegance and beauty.

The sudden loss of Alexandrova has left her fans and the modeling community in a state of shock. Her premature death serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of life and the fragility of human existence.
