Former Police Officer Accused of Hiding Death of Teen Girl

The Gwinnett Police Department has arrested 22-year-old, now former police officer Miles Bryant, from Norcross, Georgia, in connection to the death of Susana Morales, a 16-year-old girl who went missing last July.

Bryant, who has since been fired from the police force, is charged with concealing a death and filing a false police report.

The investigators confirmed the discovery of the remains of Morales in a wooded area near Highway 316 last week.

On the night of her disappearance, Morales had texted her mother, saying she was on her way home.

According to the police, Morales was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a yellow spaghetti-strapped shirt, and white crocs.

Her cellphone records indicated she was in the area of Oak Loch Trace until her phone died or was turned off.

The discovery of Morales’ remains on Feb. 6 has been confirmed. The police are still investigating the cause and manner of her death. More information is expected to come out as the investigation progresses.
