Lawyer Kills 2 in Law Firm Before Turning Gun on Himself

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – A lawyer reportedly shot and killed his former daughter-in-law and a fellow attorney in a law firm in Las Vegas on Monday morning. The incident occurred during a deposition at the Prince Law Group office in the Summerlin area on Monday.

Sources revealed that the shooter targeted his son, whom he was representing, and opened fire during the deposition. The other lawyer was representing his own wife, who happened to be the former daughter-in-law of the shooter and opposing counsel.

Law enforcement sources stated that the alleged gunman died by suicide after shooting his victims. His son survived the attack.

Authorities have classified the shooting as a targeted and domestic-related incident. Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed during a news conference that the suspect took his own life and assured the public that there was no further threat.

The identity of the shooter, as well as the victims, has not been disclosed by the police. However, Robert Eglet, a prominent attorney, revealed that the slain lawyer was his former law partner. Eglet described the victim as a skilled trial lawyer specializing in medical malpractice cases, expressing shock and sadness over the tragic event.

The law office where the shooting occurred is located on the fifth floor of a building on West Charleston Boulevard. Nearby businesses were temporarily evacuated, and authorities followed an active-shooter protocol.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the suspect’s vehicle and are actively working on establishing a motive. However, no further details were disclosed by Sheriff McMahill.

The law office in question did not provide a comment following the incident. The nearby Red Rock Casino has been utilized as an assistance center by law enforcement.
