Little Caesars Employee Shoots Drive-Thru Customer

A Little Caesars employee in West Virginia has been charged with malicious wounding following an incident at the restaurant’s drive-thru window. Jahtique Farmer, 21, was working at the time of the alleged shooting, according to information from the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility.

The incident took place on a Thursday evening at the Little Caesars outlet on Patrick Street Plaza in Charleston. Court documents reveal that Farmer and a co-worker had stepped outside the restaurant when they noticed a man near the drive-thru window, an act that seemed to agitate Farmer.

The co-worker reportedly retrieved a firearm from Farmer’s vehicle and handed it to him before they both returned to the restaurant. The man outside remained near the drive-thru window, leading to a heated exchange between him and Farmer.

Farmer is alleged to have confronted the man from inside the restaurant, shouting at him through the drive-thru window. The situation escalated when Farmer reportedly fired three shots through the window, hitting the man in the lower face and near his left rib cage.

Despite his injuries, the man was able to drive himself to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Farmer was arrested the following day and is currently being held at the South Central Regional Jail. It remains unclear whether Farmer and the victim were acquainted prior to the incident.

Farmer’s current status is listed as in the custody of the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential for violence in everyday situations and the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment in public spaces.
