Man Arrested for Alleged Battery on Minor at Ross Store

A 25-year-old man from Florida has been arrested and charged with a felony for allegedly pouring an unidentified liquid on a minor girl’s buttocks at a Ross Dress For Less store in the Miami area. Sean Edward Uribe is facing charges of child battery involving bodily fluids, a misdemeanor battery charge, and tampering with evidence, according to court records.

The incident reportedly took place on June 21 at the Ross store located at 14840 N. Kendall Dr. The minor victim informed the Miami-Dade police that she was shopping when other customers alerted her to a man, who was wearing a Miami Dolphins hat and holding a syringe, had squirted an unknown liquid on the back of her jean shorts and then began filming her. Witnesses informed store employees about the incident, who then contacted the police. The suspect had fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The police were also investigating a similar incident that occurred in June involving a suspect wearing a Dolphins hat. Detectives identified Uribe as a suspect and executed a search warrant at his home in west Miami-Dade. During the search, officers reportedly found three syringes containing a “viscous white liquid, consistent with semen” in his bedroom. They also discovered clothing that matched the attire the suspect was seen wearing in surveillance footage, as per the affidavit.

Uribe was taken into custody and transported to Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation on Thursday. He is currently being held on an $8,500 bond, as per the records.

Court records also reveal that Uribe was arrested on June 19, two days prior to the alleged incident at Ross, on a misdemeanor battery charge. He was released on his own recognizance. A trial hearing for that case is scheduled for October 28.
