A Georgia man was apprehended by the Collegedale Police Department in Tennessee at a Chick-fil-A restaurant on allegations of soliciting sexual favors from a minor. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Braadley Zach Wolchuck, is now facing multiple felony charges.
The police were alerted to the situation by a Chick-fil-A employee who reported suspicious activity at the restaurant, located approximately 20 miles east of Chattanooga. The report indicated that an adult male was allegedly attempting to arrange a sexual encounter with a minor.
Upon arrival at the scene, the restaurant employee directed the police to Wolchuck’s vehicle. As Wolchuck attempted to leave the premises, officers intercepted and stopped his car. During the interaction, Wolchuck appeared noticeably anxious and was seen trying to erase content from his mobile device in the presence of the officers.
Wolchuck reportedly confessed to the police that he had been in communication with a 17-year-old boy, with the messages exchanged being of a sexually explicit nature. He also allegedly admitted to offering the teenager a tattoo in return for sexual favors.
According to the police, Wolchuck and the teenager had met earlier that day and were purportedly planning a sexual encounter. The teenager and the restaurant’s manager alerted the police when Wolchuck arrived at the Chick-fil-A.
Wolchuck was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail, where he is currently held on a $50,000 bond. He faces charges of solicitation of a minor, trafficking for a commercial sex act, and unlawful removal of registration. His court appearance is scheduled for June 25 at the Collegedale Municipal Court.
The police have stated that the investigation is still underway and that additional charges may be filed upon the completion of the review of further digital evidence.
