In a chilling turn of events, an Ohio man is accused of orchestrating the murder of his pregnant girlfriend on the day she was due to give birth. Kayvon Warren, 30, allegedly conspired with two friends to kill 26-year-old India Kinamore in her Colerain Township home on March 4, 2023. In a move that raised suspicion, Warren had previously requested bereavement leave from his employer, anticipating the death of his girlfriend, according to Hamilton County prosecutors.
“This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich in a statement. She announced a 13-count murder indictment against Warren and his alleged accomplices. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her. It’s heartbreaking. My office will see that justice is done for both India and her baby.”
Warren was reportedly involved with another woman and was facing financial difficulties, including the loss of his home. He had allegedly tried to persuade Kinamore to terminate her pregnancy. When she refused, Warren is accused of hiring Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, to carry out the murder, intending to make it appear as a botched burglary.
The trio allegedly broke into Kinamore’s home around 6 a.m. and shot her, fleeing the scene immediately after. County detectives and officers from the Colerain Police Department conducted extensive interviews and examined financial and phone records, leading to the indictment of the three men.
Warren, Ervin, and Suggs face charges of aggravated murder, burglary, and felony assault. Ervin and Suggs are also facing weapons charges. Warren is currently being held without bail at the county jail, while Ervin’s bail is set at $300,000. The bail conditions for Suggs have not been disclosed. If convicted, all three could face life imprisonment.
