Man Stabs Ex 12 Times in Front of Her Children

A man from Florida is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend multiple times in front of their two young children. The man, identified as 25-year-old Courtney Anderson, was apprehended on Friday following the incident. The attack was reportedly captured on surveillance footage outside the woman’s residence.

According to the police, the footage showed the woman and her two children, aged 3 and 5, approaching the front door of her home. She was then reportedly ambushed by Anderson, who allegedly stabbed her multiple times. The woman managed to escape and seek help from a neighbor after being stabbed a total of 12 times.

Anderson was later located at a local hospital, where he was being treated for a hand injury. The police report indicates that the woman was initially attacked near her head, fell to the ground, and was stabbed seven more times. After a brief pause in the attack, Anderson allegedly rushed back and stabbed her four more times, including in the neck.

The woman managed to flee to a neighbor’s house when Anderson appeared to be preparing for another attack. Anderson then left the scene. The woman was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.

Anderson, meanwhile, drove himself to JFK Medical Center for treatment of his hand injury. The Atlantis Police Department alerted the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, who subsequently detained Anderson for questioning. His clothing reportedly matched the attire seen in the surveillance footage, and a substance resembling blood was found on the steering wheel of his vehicle.

During questioning, Anderson reportedly admitted to a previous arrest in February for domestic battery by strangulation against the same woman. He was under a restraining order and was prohibited from contacting her. Anderson claimed that since his arrest, he had limited access to his children. He also alleged that the woman had started a new relationship and accused the new man of harassing him on social media.

Anderson was charged with attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and violation of a no-contact order. He is currently being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 28.
