Massive Search Underway for Missing Navy Sailor

A massive search operation is in progress for a 21-year-old female Navy sailor, Angelina Petra Resendiz, who has been missing for a week and is believed to be in potential danger. Resendiz was last spotted at her barracks in Miller Hall at Naval Station Norfolk, as reported by the Virginia State Police. The police issued a “critically missing adult alert” for Resendiz on Tuesday, indicating that her disappearance poses a significant threat to her safety and well-being.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has also expressed concerns about Resendiz’s safety, although they have not provided specific reasons for their apprehension. The sudden disappearance of Resendiz, who is known to maintain regular contact with her family, has left her relatives in a state of panic.

Esmeralda Castle, Resendiz’s mother, expressed her worry to local news outlet WCEV, stating that her daughter, who she affectionately calls Angie, is a very loving person who never misses a day without communicating with her family. She highlighted that Resendiz and her sister have a 400-day streak on Snapchat, indicating their daily communication.

Castle, who resides in Texas, expressed her shock and confusion at her daughter’s sudden disappearance. She noted that Resendiz had not made any calls, spent any money, or shown any signs of activity since last Thursday. She described the situation as if her daughter “just stopped existing.”

Resendiz, who does not drive or own a car, has left her mother grappling with the difficult task of informing others about her disappearance. Castle expressed her desperation to find her daughter, stating that this sudden disappearance is uncharacteristic of Resendiz.

Resendiz is described as being 5-feet tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. The authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
