The Rome Police Department in Georgia is investigating a tragic incident that occurred at a Truett’s Chick-fil-A drive-thru on Wednesday morning.
It is reported that Anthony Wayne Green, 56, and Cassie Lashae Davis, 39, were in a domestic relationship and Green shot Davis three times with a revolver before taking his own life.
The General Manager of the restaurant, Greg Major, released a statement saying it was a “horrific” event, but no other customers or team members were harmed. The restaurant was closed for the day to care for the employees and is expected to reopen on Thrusday.
Truett’s Chick-fil-A locations honor the life and legacy of Chick-fil-A’s founder, Truett Cathy, and the Rome establishment is one of four in Georgia.
