Authorities in Maywood, Illinois, are on the lookout for Sergio Brown, a former NFL player, after his mother, Myrtle Brown, was discovered dead near a creek behind her home on September 16.
Family members reported the pair missing on Saturday, prompting a search by the Maywood Police Department. Sergio Brown, who attended Proviso East High School and the University of Notre Dame, played as a safety in the NFL for seven seasons from 2010 to 2017.
During a subsequent search, law enforcement found Myrtle Brown unresponsive close to the creek behind her residence.
