Deputies found four adult men wounded on North F Street after an early-morning altercation, authorities said.
LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — One man died and three others were hospitalized after deputies responded to a stabbing early Saturday in Lake Worth Beach, where investigators said an altercation involving several men preceded the violence.
Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 1:20 a.m. Aug. 29 to the 700 block of North F Street. Deputies found four adult men suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office. All four were taken to a local hospital. One man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving, while another was being treated for life-threatening injuries. The remaining two men had injuries that authorities said were not life-threatening.
Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division responded and are investigating the death as a homicide. Authorities said their preliminary information indicates an altercation involving several men led to the stabbings, but they have not explained what caused the confrontation or provided a detailed sequence of events.
Investigators had not released any suspect information as of Saturday night. They also had not announced a motive or said whether the four wounded men knew one another or had any relationship with others who may have been involved. Authorities have not said how many people took part in the altercation beyond describing it as involving several men.

The stabbing occurred in a residential section of North F Street. WPTV reported that neighbors described the area as usually quiet and said the large emergency response alarmed residents. A woman identified by the station as Gloria said she heard ambulances arrive and saw police fill the street. She said the incident left her more concerned about safety in the neighborhood, particularly for children.
Other local news organizations reported the same basic account from the Sheriff’s Office: four adult men were found injured, all were transported for treatment, one died and another remained in serious condition. Those reports also said investigators had not identified a suspect and that the case remained active.
