Erik Conover, a popular YouTuber with a following of nearly 3 million subscribers, is facing charges of attempted murder in New Hampshire. Conover, known for his content on architecture, sacred geometry, and AI-consciousness evolution, is accused of trying to run over a police officer with his Jeep. The YouTuber, however, denies the allegations, referring to the incident as a “massive misunderstanding” during his initial court appearance.
Conover, 35, who also goes by Eric Van Conover on YouTube, was arrested following an incident involving Bartlett Patrol Officer Cameron Emmett. The officer was attempting to pull over Conover for speeding in a 35-mph zone when the situation escalated. According to Bartlett Police Sgt. Brian Moffitt, Conover was estimated to be driving at speeds of 55-60 mph.
The situation took a dangerous turn when Conover allegedly backed his vehicle rapidly and accelerated towards Officer Emmett, striking him at a high speed. The officer was reportedly thrown between 20 and 40 feet due to the impact. The incident was captured on video by a drone operator who happened to be in the vicinity.
During his court appearance, Conover maintained his innocence, stating that he was not the Erik Conover the police were seeking. He claimed that he was from New York City, not Absecon, New Jersey, as the authorities had suggested.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Conover is also facing charges for driving while intoxicated (DWI). This charge stems from an arrest that took place just days before the alleged attempted murder, on March 13. Despite Conover’s claim that he was only charged with possession of marijuana, court records indicate that he was indeed charged with DWI and subsequently released on personal recognizance.
Conway Circuit Judge Charles Greenhalgh ordered Conover to be held without bail pending a probable cause hearing scheduled for March 25. During the hearing, Conover reportedly made several outbursts, accusing jail staff of treating him “like an animal” and reciting the Lord’s Prayer interspersed with profanity.
Alongside the charges of DWI and attempted murder, Conover is also facing charges of first-degree assault against a police officer, second-degree assault, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, conduct after an accident, disobeying an officer, and reckless driving.
On his YouTube channel, one of Conover’s recent videos titled “How I Got Sober from Alcohol” indicated that he had been sober for 1,556 days as of March 14. His channel, which explores homes built for energetic resonance and human expansion, is described as a space shaping the future of conscious living.
