Pregnant Teenager Murdered, Unborn Child Stolen in Horrific Crime

In a shocking incident in Brazil, a pregnant teenager was brutally murdered and her unborn child forcibly removed from her womb by a woman who had promised her free baby clothes, according to local authorities. The body of the teenager, Emilly Sena, who was in her ninth month of pregnancy, was discovered buried in the backyard of a married couple, Nataly Pereira, 25, and Christian de Arruda, 28.

The couple was apprehended at a local hospital in Cuiabá, Brazil, where they were attempting to register the newborn as their own. Although both were initially suspected of collaborating in the crime, Pereira confessed to the murder of Sena, 16, and the theft of her baby, acting alone, as reported by Brazilian media outlet g1.

Pereira had recently experienced a miscarriage, a fact she had kept hidden from her family. She had contacted Sena via WhatsApp, inviting her to collect free baby clothes she claimed to have. Pereira even covered Sena’s transportation costs. Sena’s mother, Ana Paula Meridiane, recounted to g1 that Pereira had told them she had received a surplus of baby clothes and wanted to donate some to Emilly.

The gruesome details of the crime were revealed by Police Chief Caio Alexandre. Sena’s body bore cuts, and she had been strangled and hanged with internet cables. Marks on her abdomen suggested she was still alive when her baby was forcibly removed with a bladed weapon. Sena had tried to defend herself but succumbed to blood loss.

Upon Pereira’s arrival at the hospital, claiming the baby was born at home, medical staff grew suspicious of her condition. Tests conducted on the newborn and Pereira revealed that she had not been pregnant. Her legal representatives stated that she had suffered a miscarriage six months prior and had continued to pretend she was pregnant.

De Arruda, who had not been charged, claimed he was unaware of Sena’s murder and believed his wife had given birth. He had even shared a photo on social media celebrating the birth of his ‘newborn’. The case is currently under investigation by Brazil’s Homicide and Personal Protection Division, and De Arruda, along with two other suspects, are set to face further questioning.
