Renowned TV Makeup Artist Fatally Shot in Home

A tragic incident unfolded in the Washington, DC area on Sunday when a renowned television hair and makeup artist was fatally shot in her home. Travis Renee Baldwin, 57, was allegedly killed by her 27-year-old son, Logan Chrisinger, in her Arlington, Virginia apartment just before 8:30 a.m. Baldwin was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Chrisinger, who remained at the scene following the alleged murder, is currently being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility. He is facing charges of first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Baldwin was a respected figure in the television industry, having most recently worked at Newsmax. Her skillful work was appreciated by many, including anchors like Greta Van Susteren. Van Susteren expressed her grief on social media, recalling Baldwin as a friend to all her colleagues and expressing shock that their last interaction on Friday would be their final one.

Newsmax White House producer Marisela Ramirez also expressed her sorrow over the loss of Baldwin, referring to her as “Heaven’s newest angel” in a heartfelt social media tribute. Ramirez remembered Baldwin as a “quiet warrior” who supported her family and carried the weight of a household on her shoulders without any complaints.

Ramirez also recalled Baldwin’s nurturing nature, noting how she would often play with her client’s hair while they discussed difficult life situations. She described Baldwin as treating people “with the gentleness of a mother.”

The shocking incident has left the television industry and Baldwin’s colleagues in mourning. As the legal proceedings against Chrisinger continue, many are left grappling with the sudden loss of a beloved figure in the industry.
