The news of her untimely demise was confirmed by her sister, Katyan, who expressed her grief and love for her sister on Instagram. Katyan’s heartfelt message to her sister was shared with her 130,000 followers, accompanied by a photo of the two sisters smiling together.
Unverified reports suggest that Acosta, a mother of two, choked on her food during a family dinner at a restaurant on January 3. However, an official cause of death has not been disclosed yet. Acosta, who was born in the Dominican Republic, had a significant following on social media, with over 6.7 million followers on Instagram at the time of her death.
In a subsequent emotional post, Katyan thanked everyone who had sent her condolence messages and expressed gratitude for the support her sister received during her lifetime. The family released a statement following Acosta’s death, expressing their sorrow and sharing their loss with everyone who knew her.
The statement also highlighted Acosta’s contributions, stating that she had managed to help thousands of people through her work. The family requested for contributions, however small, to help cover funeral costs and support Acosta’s family and children in overcoming this enormous loss.
