Son Strangles Mom to Death For Not Letting Him Use Her Car

On March 2, a tragedy occurred when Miroslav Liliev Mishev, a 30-year-old man, was charged with captial murder in the killing of his mother, 69-year-old Lilia Misheva.

According to Houston Police Department reports, Mishev had allegedly killed his mother following her refusal to hand over her car to him.

First responders discovered Misheva’s lifeless body in her apartment at around 10:45 a.m. on the same day. An analysis from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences concluded that Misheva had died from strangulation.

After the killing, Mishev escaped with the victim’s 2015 Honda Civic, wallet, and cell phone.

He was apprehended later by Sutton County Sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop in Sonora, Texas. He is currently held in the Sutton County Jail and is waiting to be extradited back to Harris County.
