A 17-year-old Wisconsin teenager, Nikita Casap, was arrested in March on charges of first-degree murder and hiding a corpse. Federal authorities allege that Casap killed his mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, and stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, in their Waukesha home. The bodies, riddled with bullets, were reportedly hidden under blankets for several weeks.
Documents allegedly penned by Casap, which were reviewed by the FBI, revealed a plot to assassinate President Trump and instigate a revolution to “save the white race.” The documents contained images of Adolf Hitler accompanied by text that read: “HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY.”
According to the federal affidavit, Casap was in communication with other individuals about his plan to assassinate the President and overthrow the U.S. government. He had reportedly purchased a drone and explosives, intending to use them as weapons of mass destruction. The affidavit also stated that those in contact with Casap seemed to be aware of his plans and may have provided assistance.
Authorities discovered material on Casap’s phone related to “The Order of Nine Angles,” a network of individuals known for holding neo-Nazi racially motivated extremist views. In addition to the murder charges, Casap is also facing charges of property theft over $10,000 and misappropriation of ID to obtain money.
Federal charges being pursued against Casap include conspiracy, presidential assassination, and use of weapons of mass destruction. The bodies of Casap’s mother and stepfather were discovered during a welfare check at their home on February 28, after Casap had been absent from Waukesha West High School for two weeks.
The bodies were found in a state of advanced decomposition, making identification difficult. Casap’s mother was found under piles of clothes and blankets near the kitchen, with multiple gunshot wounds. His stepfather was found in the home’s first-floor office with a gunshot wound to the head.
Casap appeared in court on April 9 for a preliminary hearing on his state charges. He has not yet entered a plea and remains in custody. His arraignment is scheduled for May 7.
