Tragic News: “One Life to Live” Actress Amanda Davies Passes Away at 42

Actress Amanda Davies, known for her role on the popular soap opera “One Life to Live,” has died at the age of 42. The news was confirmed by her mother, Erika Slezak, who also starred on the show. Slezak shared the tragic news on her official website, expressing the family’s deep sorrow and requesting privacy during this difficult time. The cause of Davies’ death has not been disclosed.

Davies, born in 1981, followed in the footsteps of her parents, Slezak and actor Brian Davies. Slezak portrayed the character Victoria “Viki” Lord on “One Life to Live” for over four decades, while Davies had a role as the younger version of her mother’s character in a series of flashbacks. She later reprised the role in 2013 when the show was briefly revived as a web series.

The Davies family frequently attended public events together, including the New York City premiere of “Flubber” in 1997. In the world of soap operas, Slezak’s portrayal of Viki earned her a record-breaking six Daytime Emmy Awards, solidifying her legacy.

This marks the second loss for the “One Life to Live” family in less than two months. In December, Kamar de los Reyes, who played Antonio Vega on the show, passed away at the age of 56 after a short battle with cancer.

Davies is survived by her mother, father, and brother. The family has not released any further statements regarding her passing.
