Twins Found Dead on Mountain

In a tragic incident, 19-year-old twin brothers were found dead from gunshot wounds on a mountain peak in Georgia. The grim discovery was made a day after the twins, Qaadir and Naazir Lewis of Lawrenceville, failed to catch a flight to Boston where they planned to visit friends. The family of the deceased twins is disputing the investigators’ hypothesis of a murder-suicide scenario.

The Lewis brothers disappeared on March 7, after they did not board their scheduled 7 a.m. flight. A hiker discovered their bodies the next day at the summit of Bell Mountain, situated near the North Carolina border.

Rahim Brawner, the twins’ uncle, expressed his shock and disbelief at the murder-suicide theory. He portrayed the brothers as inseparable and incapable of inflicting harm on each other. Despite the family’s objections, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is currently treating the case as a potential murder-suicide.

In a conversation with local station WXIA-TV, Brawner said, “They’re very protective of each other. They love each other. I couldn’t imagine them hurting each other because I’ve never seen them get into a fistfight before.”

Yasmin Brawner, the twins’ aunt, reiterated this sentiment, stating that the brothers had a “huge support system” and would have sought help if they were facing any problems. She is convinced that something untoward occurred on the mountain and is seeking answers.

In response to the tragedy, Yasmin Brawner has started a GoFundMe campaign to cover the funeral expenses for her nephews. She revealed that the twins had dreams of starting their own clothing line in the future.

The family is still seeking answers about how the twins traveled from the airport to Bell Mountain, a location they were not known to visit or hike. The brothers’ bodies were discovered around 11:05 a.m. on March 8, each with gunshot wounds. Their plane tickets were found untouched in their wallets.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has conducted autopsies on the brothers but is waiting for additional forensic tests before issuing a final ruling on the cause of death. The authorities have not yet identified which brother they suspect was responsible for the alleged murder-suicide.
