A late-night shooting at a recording studio in Newark, New Jersey, resulted in the death of two individuals and left two others injured, according to recent reports. The incident occurred at Platinum Sound, a popular recording studio, where the sound of gunfire replaced the usual music late Wednesday night.
Eyewitnesses reported to ABC7 that one man was fatally shot at the scene, while another succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Two additional male victims were wounded in the shooting but are currently in stable condition after being transported to the hospital.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed as of yet. The area surrounding the recording studio on Clinton Avenue was heavily patrolled by Newark police and detectives late into the night following the incident.
As of now, no arrests have been made and the number of gunmen involved in the shooting remains unclear. A preliminary investigation by the Newark police suggests that the shooting was likely targeted at a specific individual.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Newark Police have yet to comment on the incident. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
