Unlicensed TikTok Dentist Sought by Authorities for Alleged Dental Malpractice

Texas law enforcement is on the hunt for a woman who allegedly posed as a dentist and inflicted severe damage to a patient’s teeth. The woman, identified as Juanetta Solomon, 41, reportedly inserted a veneer into the patient’s mouth without first creating a mold. Solomon is now facing a felony charge for practicing dentistry without a license, as per a probable cause statement from the Houston Police Department.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported to the police that she discovered Solomon’s services on TikTok in late March. She came across a video from the account “Tha_Toothly_Houston” and inquired about an appointment to have her teeth fixed. She was then directed to schedule an appointment with I Smilez Cosmetic Designz, according to the affidavit.

The victim sent four photos of her mouth to the alleged dentist, who then quoted her $1,000 to replace sixteen teeth and an additional $350 for a bridge. On March 30, the victim visited the supposed dental office on Westpark Drive on Houston’s west side, where she met a woman who introduced herself as “Nikki Calloway.” The victim later identified Calloway as Solomon.

According to the police report, Solomon did not create a mold of the victim’s teeth or mouth. Instead, she applied the composite veneers and bridge, using a significant amount of pressure and chemicals. The process was so intense that the victim reportedly felt dizzy and had to ask Solomon to pause. Solomon then allegedly used a drill and file to shape the material she had placed in the victim’s teeth.

The victim reported that she had difficulty closing her mouth and asked Solomon to make the veneers thinner as they were too large and uncomfortable. In the following days, the victim experienced sleep disturbances due to the pain in her mouth. Approximately a week later, she contacted Solomon for help as her mouth was bleeding and one of her teeth had fallen out. Solomon offered another appointment, but the victim decided to contact the police instead.

Investigators confirmed with the Texas Board of Dental Examiners that Solomon is not licensed to practice dentistry, nor is she a registered hygienist or assistant. Solomon, identified as the owner of I Smilez Cosmetic Designz, had an arrest warrant issued against her on August 30. She remains at large and has been included in the latest Fugitive Friday list by Crime Stoppers of Houston. The public is urged to contact 713-222-8477 with any information.
