Video Captures Husband Trying to Kill Wife With His Car

A shocking incident unfolded in North Carolina when a man, identified as Andersen Singleton, reportedly attempted to end his life and that of his wife by deliberately crashing their car into another vehicle. The incident, which was caught on a dashcam by a passing motorist, occurred at around 6:55 am on a Saturday, as per the Raleigh Police Department.

The dashcam footage, obtained by a local news outlet, showed Singleton’s car colliding head-on with another vehicle, causing a loud crash. Candido Montero Valdiviezo and Nelson Perez Lopez from Selma occupied the other car. Both vehicles’ occupants suffered severe injuries, but none were life-threatening. Singleton and the other driver managed to escape without serious harm.

Jorge Bravo, the passerby who captured the incident on his dashcam, rushed to assist the injured parties. In a shocking revelation, Singleton allegedly confessed to Bravo that the crash was not accidental but a deliberate attempt to kill himself and his wife. Bravo recounted Singleton’s words, stating, “He was like, ‘Oh, that’s not an accident. I was trying to kill my wife and myself. We were fighting each other. We’re trying to kill each other.’”

Bravo was taken aback by Singleton’s confession, which he described as a nervous outburst. Following this, Bravo noticed Singleton’s wife, who had fallen out of the passenger door and was lying motionless. A passing paramedic was able to provide immediate assistance to the injured before additional medical help arrived.

Singleton now faces multiple charges, including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, causing serious injuries, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, careless and reckless driving, and driving left of center. He is also charged with domestic violence assault, stalking, and making threats. During his arraignment on Monday, Singleton was instructed to stay away from his wife and was denied bond.
