Woman Arrested for Producing Child Sexual Abuse Material Involving Her Toddler

A 21-year-old Florida woman, Jenna Ann Hoffmann, has been arrested and charged with producing and distributing child sexual abuse material involving her own toddler, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. Hoffmann faces multiple charges, including cruelty toward a child by directing or promoting sexual performance, lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 years of age, possession of sexual performance of a child with intent to promote, use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, and larcity.

Hoffmann reportedly confessed to investigators that she had created the explicit videos at the behest of an unknown individual online, who had promised her financial compensation. However, she claimed that she never received the promised payment.

The case came to light when the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from a widely used social media platform about child sexual abuse material. The digital files in question showed a woman engaging in sexual acts with a toddler. The adult in the video was quickly identified as a resident of Brooksville, a small town approximately 80 miles west of Orlando.

Upon arrival at the identified address, detectives made contact with a family member who, after being shown a still image from one of the videos, immediately recognized the child as Hoffmann’s 23-month-old toddler. Hoffmann was then brought out from the residence and agreed to speak with the detectives.

After being read her rights, Hoffmann allegedly confessed to the sexual abuse of her child. She claimed that she had been in contact with a stranger on social media who had offered to pay her for producing and sending explicit videos involving her son. She admitted to creating the videos at her home and sending them, but stated that she had not received any payment.

A subsequent search of the residence yielded additional evidence supporting the charges against Hoffmann. She was arrested and is currently being held without bond at the Hernando County Detention Center.

In the event of a potential pre-trial release, a Hernando County judge has already issued an order for Hoffmann to be placed under GPS monitoring. Court records do not indicate an attorney of record for Hoffmann, but she has indicated on an intake form that she has retained a private attorney and will claim indigent status. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 22.
