Woman Fatally Shoots Cheating Boyfriend

A Tennessee woman is facing first-degree murder charges after allegedly shooting her boyfriend dead upon discovering he was unfaithful. The accused, 20-year-old Dsani Badgett, is said to have waited for her boyfriend, Stephen Morgan, to return home from work before confronting him with the fatal act, according to court documents from Knox County.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office report indicates that the deputies then entered the residence and discovered Morgan with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Badgett reportedly informed detectives that she had discovered Morgan’s infidelity through messages on her own phone, which he had been using after his was damaged. Morgan had logged into his Yahoo account on her device, inadvertently revealing his indiscretions.

The report further details that Badgett allegedly retrieved a firearm from their bedroom nightstand and waited on the couch for Morgan to return from work. Upon his arrival, she confronted him about his infidelity. Badgett is said to have demonstrated the loaded weapon to Morgan, demanding he address the state of their relationship.

The confrontation escalated when Morgan attempted to seize the gun from Badgett. In the ensuing struggle, Badgett discharged the firearm, striking Morgan in the left hand and upper chest area, according to the detectives’ report.

Following the incident, law enforcement arrested Badgett and transported her to the Roger D. Wilson Detention Center. She is currently being held on a $300,000 bond.
