Woman’s Body Found Dumped Along Highway Under Suspicious Circumstances

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities in Bexar County, Texas, are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body along Highway 90. The unidentified woman, believed to be between 30 to 40 years old, was found with signs of trauma and early decomposition. Although it is possible she was a victim of a hit-and-run, her body’s location suggests a potential case of foul play.

According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, the woman’s body was spotted by a quick-thinking high school student who promptly alerted her mother. The mother, upon confirming the finding, contacted the authorities, enabling them to begin an investigation into the incident.

The woman’s description, provided by Sheriff Salazar, includes distinctive features such as black pigtails, athletic clothing, and a black floral tattoo on her left arm. While it is still early in the investigation, officials estimate that she may have been in the area for one to two days. However, they have ruled out any connection between this case and the recent disappearance of another woman from a nearby fitness center.

Salazar praised the student and her mother for their proactive involvement in aiding law enforcement and ensuring the discovery and subsequent investigation of the woman’s body.

At present, authorities are actively pursuing leads to determine the circumstances leading to the woman’s death. Further details regarding the incident and the ongoing investigation are pending.
