Andrew Cuomo Responds to Sexual Harassment Claims

(TheDailyHorn.com) – New York’s Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo finds himself at the center of several controversies these days. Federal investigators are taking a look at his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also faces a state-level investigation regarding allegations of sexual misconduct,

After dodging the media for months, he finally met with the reporters in person. Previously, he only talked by phone, and his handlers screened reporters’ questions.

On Monday, April 26, however, he reached the point at which he couldn’t avoid the media any longer. Cuomo was asked whether he did any of the things that several women are accusing him of doing. Instead of sticking to the line that he was playing and joking with them, Gov. Cuomo flat out denied doing anything wrong.

Currently, the governor is under investigation by the New York Attorney General’s office after numerous women made allegations that Cuomo spoke to them inappropriately, as well as that he touched, groped, or kissed them without invitation. During his speech, Cuomo added that the AG’s office would determine nothing inappropriate occurred and that he won’t be stepping down.

In the past, Cuomo called for the resignations of those accused of wrongdoing without proof or due process. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, he’s pushing back and making an argument for due process.
