Baby Deliveries Halted After Nurses Quit Over Biden Mandate

(TheDailyHorn.com) – On Thursday, September 9, President Joe Biden ordered the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to implement a COVID-19 vaccination mandate for companies with over 100 employees. However, many may not know that the president also issued a vaccine mandate for healthcare workers on August 23. While Biden believes he’s trying to improve the healthcare system by forcing people to get jabbed, he might worsen a bad situation.

On Friday, September 17, Lewis County General Hospital in upstate New York will temporarily terminate its maternity unit due to the vaccination order. Of the hospital’s 464 workers, 165 are unvaccinated. Six employees in the maternity ward resigned over the vaccination mandate. Seven more are undecided, but they will lose their jobs if they don’t get vaccinated soon. As a result, the hospital says it’s pausing deliveries so it can focus on hiring vaccinated nurses.

Approximately 80 million Americans are unvaccinated. Estimates suggest the COVID vaccination mandates affect about 100 million Americans. As demonstrated by the hospital, anti-mandate advocates are concerned that workers refusing to get vaccinated will quit. Another worry is that they could find employment at companies with less than 100 workers to get around the rule.
