(TheDailyHorn.com) – When an influential male politician commits sexual assault against a female staffer, it should put a swift end to his career in politics. However, what if it’s an influential female politician who sexually assaults a male staff member?
In 2018, then-Democratic Congresswoman and now New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham allegedly poured a bottle of water over a male employee’s crotch, grabbed his genitals, and laughed while doing so. Other staffers were reportedly present.

These allegations first became public knowledge when James Hallinan aired them on Twitter around a year after leaving Grishamโs campaign team.
According to documents filed with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), Grisham’s campaign has paid Hallinan a total of $62,500, in monthly installments of $12,500, from November 2020 to March 2021. The five payments were listed as โlegal expenses.โ Neither the campaign nor Hallinan’s attorney will say if more payments are coming. The campaign maintains Grisham’s innocence.
