Ex-Con Decapitates Man Who Impregnated His Wife While He Was in Prison

A former convict, Anthony Newton, 45, is facing charges for the brutal murder of Ulisys “Cesar” Molina, whose dismembered and burned body was discovered in an empty lot near Las Vegas in 2017. Molina had been reported missing by his family. The murder is believed to be a revenge act, as Molina had fathered a child with Newton’s wife while Newton was serving time in prison.

Newton, along with his brother-in-law and another woman, allegedly lured Molina into the woman’s apartment around Christmas 2016 and killed him due to the affair. The details of the crime were presented in a Nevada court last week. Newton’s attorney, Pam Weckerly, confirmed that the affair was known to Molina’s family and was not a secret.

In a shocking turn of events, one of Molina’s severed hands was discovered in a mailbox by a 5-year-old child nearly two years after the murder. The circumstances surrounding how the hand ended up in the mailbox remain unclear, as does any potential connection between the mailbox’s owners and Molina. Molina’s head and other hand have never been recovered.

Weckerly stated in court, “We will not be able to answer for you how that hand ended up getting into that lady’s mailbox.”

Newton is currently facing the possibility of the death penalty in a retrial. The original case was declared a mistrial in November when a co-defendant disclosed Newton’s previous prison sentence to the jury. The crime that originally landed Newton in prison has not been disclosed.

Newton’s wife, Jami Malaperdas, had an affair with Molina in 2015 while Newton was incarcerated. Malaperdas became pregnant as a result of the affair and later had an abortion, according to the defense. Newton’s trial is anticipated to last approximately three weeks.
