Fox News Host Says New CDC Guidelines Vindicate Republican Leaders

(TheDailyHorn.com) – The CDC put out nationwide guidance that everyone should wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 almost a year ago. Last spring, then-President Donald Trump initiated Operation Warp Speed to get vaccinations rolled out as quickly and safely as possible.

As this process got underway, Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), along with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), began arguing that fully vaccinated individuals no longer needed to wear a mask. In doing so, they attracted a lot of criticism from the left and the media. However, one Fox News host regularly agreed with them.

For months, the three popular Republicans made their case to reporters that the science was on their side. They often stated that fully vaccinated people wearing masks sent the wrong message, saying it conveyed a lack of confidence in the vaccine. On Thursday, May 13, the CDC revised its guidelines and said it’s perfectly safe for those fully vaccinated individuals to shed their masks. On Friday, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade said the trio was right all along and that the three Republicans were fully vindicated.
