A diving team affiliated with a search-and-recovery organization on YouTube, Adventures With Purpose, reported Sunday that they had found Kiely Rodni’s flipped SUV in 14 feet of water, and her body was inside the vehicle.
Adventures With Purpose was requested by authorities last week to join in the search.  They specialize in underwater searches, using “extremely unique” sonar.  They also have extensive experience with scuba diving in low to no visibility.  Although they mainly work on cold cases, they felt that their talents would be helpful in this investigation.
Sixteen-year-old Kiely Rodni went missing after attending a party with hundreds of other teens at a campground in Truckee, California, on August 6th.  According to authorities, the teenager was last seen at the party around 12:30 am, and her last cell phone activity was a few minutes later, outside the lake.  Both her and her vehicle, a Honda CRV, was nowhere to be found.
At only 16, Rodni had just graduated from Truckee Charter High School. Lindsay Rodni Nieman appealed to people to come forward with information. At least 1,200 tips have been flooding into the police lines.
This has been a detailed search for Rodni; it has stretched across at least two states and thousands of acres. Authorities have reviewed 1,871 tips, logged 19,951 cumulative man hours, used seven air patrols, and multiple agencies have assisted in the search for Kiely,  this is according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
This is a developing story with more information to follow.
