A homicide investigation has been initiated in South Los Angeles following the discovery of a woman’s body, wrapped in plastic, in a residential property. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call from a residence on the 2200 block of Wall Street around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The call was made by a woman who reported a strong gas odor emanating from her son’s room. Upon entering the room, she found the body of a woman concealed in plastic.
The LAPD is currently seeking a potential suspect, described as a man in his 20s. The public has been urged to contact the police with any information that could assist in the investigation. The incident occurred in the Historic South-Central area of South Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.
The police confirmed the presence of a female victim, believed to be in her 20s, wrapped in plastic. She was declared dead at the scene. The woman’s son, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, is currently unaccounted for, according to the police.
The duration of the woman’s death remains uncertain. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and the cause of death is yet to be determined. The police are currently seeking the woman’s son. As of late Monday morning, no arrests have been made, according to a spokesperson.
