Nine People Injured in Strip Mall Stabbing

Indianapolis, Indiana – A stabbing incident at a strip mall in Indianapolis early Monday morning resulted in at least nine people being injured, according to police. The incident occurred in the parking lot outside Miami’s Garden Restaurant and Lounge at around 3:40 a.m. The injuries sustained by the victims included stab wounds and other types of trauma.

The condition of the injured individuals varied, with four people being treated and released at the scene, three listed in critical condition, and two listed in stable condition. The suspect in the case is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital after also suffering trauma.

Police spokesperson William Young stated that the investigation is in its early stages but suggested that the incident may have stemmed from a disturbance between two groups of people. Officers are speaking to multiple witnesses and plan to request camera footage from local businesses to aid in their investigation.
