A 15-year-old student was severely injured in a violent altercation with a fellow student outside their high school in Queens, New York, according to law enforcement officials and sources. The incident, which took place on a Monday afternoon, resulted in the boy being slashed three times on the face. The confrontation occurred near Springfield Gardens High School on Springfield Boulevard, close to 143rd Road, around 2:45 p.m.

The two teenagers involved in the incident had a history of disputes, according to sources. This incident is not an isolated one. It follows a similar event that occurred a week prior, when another 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg, allegedly by a fellow teenager. This incident took place around the same time of day, in front of South Shore High School on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie. The injured boy was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was also listed in stable condition.

Earlier in the month, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg outside Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical Education High School in St. George. The victim was immediately taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

These incidents highlight a concerning trend of violence among teenagers, particularly in the vicinity of educational institutions. The authorities are yet to make any arrests in connection with these incidents, raising concerns about the safety of students in and around schools.

The incidents have sparked a debate about the need for increased security measures in schools and the surrounding areas. The authorities are being urged to take swift action to ensure the safety of students and prevent such incidents from recurring.
