Top Pandemic Predictions for 2022

(TheDailyHorn.com) – As America prepares for 2022, many questions abound about the future of the pandemic. Some believe it may end, or that viral spread will reduce significantly. There are several predictions, and we’re here to share a few of them with you.

March 2022 will mark the two-year anniversary of the first government measures to curtail COVID-19. Suffice it to say it’s debatable how well lockdowns have worked.

Dr. Anthony Fauci recently said it’s possible that public health officials and the government could start gaining some control over the virus come springtime. Moderna’s CEO, Stephane Bancel, believes the pandemic could be over by this time next year. Still, various models suggest the delta variant could decline through the winter months.

Still, other experts say it’s difficult to predict what will happen. New variants could come along that upset the apple cart. Some say the infectious disease is a global problem, and until the international community is vaccinated, it’s going to be tough to get rid of the disease. Yet, others suggest that natural herd immunity counts and that the more people catch the virus, the less impactful it will be on society.

So, what’s likely to happen? Your guess is as good as anyone’s. Still, many health officials predict the pandemic may improve significantly in 2022.
