A Wisconsin mother is grappling with the devastating loss of her three children who perished in a fire on Thanksgiving Day at their father’s apartment. Jourdan Feasby, the bereaved mother, expressed her anguish and disbelief, stating that she would have given her own life to save her children if she had been present.
Feasby’s children, Rylee, 10, Connor, 9, and Alena, 7, were spending the holiday with their father when the fire broke out. Earlier that day, Feasby had dropped them off at their father’s residence, looking forward to their return. However, a late-night phone call from her sister delivered the tragic news that all three children had died in the fire.
Feasby, who was eagerly planning for Christmas shopping, is now faced with the grim task of arranging for caskets. She described her children as the source of light in her life, a light that has now been extinguished. The fire reportedly started around 10:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Rylee and Connor were pronounced dead at the scene, while Alena was rushed to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The children’s father, Feasby’s ex-partner, was also hospitalized due to smoke inhalation but was subsequently released.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. Feasby, still reeling from the shock, said she has barely been able to comprehend the reality of the situation since receiving the heartbreaking phone call.
Feasby described her children as her whole world, and their loss has left her feeling alone. She expressed a bittersweet comfort in knowing that her children are together, but also acknowledged the profound personal pain of being left behind.
