Family Found Dead in Upscale Neighborhood

DOVER, Massachusetts – A couple and their teenage daughter were tragically found dead in their residence on Thursday night in what authorities believe to be a case of domestic violence. The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, in a preliminary investigation, stated that evidence suggests this was a “deadly incident of domestic violence.” Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey confirmed the identities of the victims as Rakesh Kamal, 57, Teena Kamal, 54, and Arianna Kamal, 18.

The Dover Police Department received a 911 call from a concerned relative who had stopped by to check on the family members. Police arrived at the scene on Wilson’s Way around 7:24 p.m. and discovered the lifeless bodies of the two adults and their teenage daughter inside the residence. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, with an autopsy expected to take place in the near future.

During a live press conference on Friday morning, Morrissey revealed that a firearm was found on the premises. He emphasized that the incident appeared to be confined to the specific dwelling, assuring the public that there is no ongoing danger to the Dover community.

While the investigation is in its early stages, the evidence currently available does not suggest the involvement of any outside party, pointing toward this being a tragic incident of domestic violence. The district attorney’s office believes it to be an isolated case, and there have been no previous reports or issues at the residence or in the neighborhood.

The specific details surrounding the deaths, including whether it was a murder-suicide and the location of the bodies, have not been disclosed by authorities at this time. The ongoing investigation will shed further light on these questions.

The Dover community mourns the loss of this family and awaits the results of the investigation for a clearer understanding of what occurred.
